About Zambia
Zambia is located in southern central Africa, bordered by Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. The current estimated population is 20 million people, and the capital is Lusaka. Zambia has been described as the most peaceful African nation, with no major civil uprisings or high rates of serious crime.
The Zambian government has allocated approximately 30% of its land area, equivalent to 225,780 square kilometers, for the conservation of wildlife. There are two main classifications of wildlife areas: National Parks for photographic tourism and Game Management Areas (GMAs), where the utilization of natural resources, such as hunting, is permitted. In addition to state wildlife areas, there are numerous private reserves, some of which are entirely unfenced. Munyamadzi Game Reserve is one such property and could be considered one of the most successful.
The majority of Zambia is situated on a plateau at or around 3,300 ft (1,000 m) above sea level. The climate is considered subtropical, with milder temperatures on the plateau and warmer temperatures in the valleys. Hunting typically takes place between June and October, with milder temperatures from June to August followed by higher temperatures in September and October.
Zambia as a destination can offer a variety of safari options and has many different huntable species. It provides some of the finest big game hunting experiences in Africa. Zambia also boasts some of the most pristine wilderness, offering the essence of classic Africa.
In Zambia, we offer both classic luxury safaris at Munyamadzi and Kazumba Game Reserve. We have arrangements in place that allow hunting in the finest areas in Zambia, including Luangwa, Kafue, and Bangweulu.
